December 14th, New Moon in Sagittarius
As the year has continued to unfold, we find ourselves cradled by the dark sky once more, in the final embrace of the New Moon of 2020. We have been taught through the various lunations of the year how to go inwards and seek our own internal compass. Now we are
being coaxed by the Sagittarian fires within to move from this space of internal contemplation. The chrysalis has begun to crack ever so slightly, as ice might on a frozen lake. The dark expanse of wisdom beneath is waiting for us. It is us.
This New Moon is optimistic, powerful, and a little adventurous. We're shifting our gaze, now beginning to curiously expand. What is out there? What is beyond? Our minds lead the way to where our spirits may go as the final moments of the year progress, and the moon waxes full again. It's been a highly unusual year, and Sagittarius understands this like no other. It can laugh with us, cheer with us, clap us on the back with an enthusiastic
understanding, and also sheds compassion on our residual exhaustion. Lean into this one. Trust it as you trust yourself.
If you are ready to turn and face yourself and learn how to be a pleasure-filled human, then I am so excited to welcome you to a very special Pleasure Filled Year: a 6 month program with Seagrape founder, Maria. Pleasure is all around you but
must be cultivated. Over the course of 6 months (feb-july 2021) we will explore different aspects of our lives together to do just that; cultivate pleasure, desire, magic, and connection with ourselves on a deeper level. In this transformational course we will spend time in community, the kitchen, at our Altars, in the bath, and with ourselves practicing new (and ancient) approaches to pleasure and self-devotion. We will grow to rely on each other, share intimate space, and
learn to trust our intuition with community support.
This is for you if you...
Have been wanting to step more fully into your pleasure, your magic, and most importantly yourself
Have struggled with comparing your gifts to others and feeling like you weren’t good enough
Feel like your cup is empty
Don't even know what your own needs are
Feel lonely but are ready to find community

SAGITTARIUS TAROT SPREAD
To embrace and embody this Super New Moon, regard the deepest foundation of your body - your bones. Consider the wisdom they contain, down to the marrow. They are the scrolls of our body, carrying both the joy and grief of generations past. As we learn from our history, we are able to recognize our present and build our future. Drink in this opportune season of listening with a cup of tea and a ritual bath. Anoint yourself with a blend of bath oils, and feel them permeating deep into your core, down to the more central part of you. Allow the strong Sagittarian side of you to speak from within and guide you as you do this Tarot Spread.
Sagittarius is a curious and creative sign, and New Moon energy is often about releasing or composting. Harness these energies together to check in with your intuition using the Tarot or your favorite Oracle Deck. Set yourself up for your reading by settling into a comfortable spot, maybe grabbing a cup of tea, and focus your intention with a few deep breaths before shuffling your cards.
North: What is your guiding light?
South: What do you need to feel cared for?
East: What is coming up on the horizon for you?
West: What needs to be released?
HERBAL ALLY: BAY LEAF
You may be familiar with the humble Bay Leaf from your spice rack, but this beautiful plant is also a deeply magical ally! Bay Leaf is ruled by Fire and the Sun, making it a great ally to call on during Sagittarius season. Bay Leaf - or Laurel Leaf - has been cultivated for centuries, being indigenous to Asia Minor and spreading to the Mediterranean. The Greeks used Laurel wreaths as a symbol of victory, and the Laurel Tree is a pivotal element in one of Apollo's myths. Magically, Bay
Leaf is great for rituals for abundance, success, and creativity. Burn a Bay Leaf as incense, or infuse it into your kitchen magic (but please remember to pull it out of your cooking, we are not able to digest whole Bay Leaf!)

NEW MOON RITUAL BATH
December is often the time when self care can fall to the wayside. Energies are focused on end of the year hustle, holidays, and meeting the needs of other people. Take some time this New Moon to focus your energy back on yourself. You deserve to feel cared for and supported, you cannot pour from an empty cup. Refill yourself with a luscious ritual bath! You will need:
1/4 cup coconut milk powder
Small handful of dried herbs - yarrow for boundaries, lavender for protection, and rose for self love
Scoop of Epsom salts
Optional: 3 drops of Cedarwood essential oil
In a bowl combine all your ingredients. Stir them together while focusing on your intuition - some ideas for intentions for this bath include: "I feel cared for," "I deserve pleasure," or "I call my energy back to me." Fill your tub with hot water, and pour your soak into the bath. Soak for as long as you need babe, you deserve it!
