Full Moon in Gemini, November
30th + Lunar Eclipse
There's good news and there's bad news: the good news is that you're forever seen, loved, and held by the universe which exists within. The bad news is we might not always see it or feel it. And is that really bad news? When viewed from a different angle, it's more of a
call. An opportunity. A window, now fully opened and waiting for you. This Full Moon, charged by a partial lunar eclipse, may leave us feeling tender and vulnerable - as if there's a spotlight cast by the moon aimed directly at our most sensitive attributes. This isn't done to make us feel uncomfortable, but rather to feel admired. The moon sees right through our fears, discovering us for what we are in our fullness, made up of our many phases just as the moon is.
Gemini has a spritely and even flirty intellectual streak, nurtured by long passionate dialogues and happy competitive argument. Can you look at the mirror and engage with healthy discourse? Can you have fun through a little prodding from your inner doppelgänger? The tenderness we feel can be eased through these playful moments of self-questioning and trust. As it turns out, we are more than capable of extending these abilities towards our interactions with
others- whether it be friends, family, or our own being. This is the lesson of Gemini. Drink in this moon, feel it illuminate you from within.
Fill your favorite mug with a hot chocolatey beverage, wrap up
in a cozy blanket, and interview yourself. Challenge yourself with some tricky questions such as, "what do I believe in and why," "what habits have I developed, and can start to leave behind," or "are there people I have avoided and should reach out to?" Write your answers in a journal, and
review them on the Super New Moon of December 14th.

ECLIPSE ALTAR
Lunar Eclipses are a powerful time to work your intentions, spells or rituals. Some witches like to interpret a lunar eclipse as harnessing the energy at all phases of the moon. As the view of the moon from earth transitions from a full moon to shadowed by the Earth and it wanes until the sliver of new moon begins to appear to us again. Another way to interpret this Eclipse energy is to consider the energies of the Earth, Sun, and Moon all in alignment,
making this a powerful time for spells to calling in alignment for yourself.
Whichever interpretation calls to you - or maybe both call to you - Lunar Eclipses are a powerful time to build an Altar. Consider adding your magical tools to this altar, to charge them with this powerful Eclipse Energy. For this Eclipse altar you will need: a black and white candle, a moonstone or white gem, a black gem, and a feather or
wand (this can be a found feather, drawing, or photo of a feather that calls to you! Please be respectful and safe when using natural elements.) Arrange your altar so the white gem or moonstone is in front of the black candle, and the black gem is in front of the white candle. Add your feather to the middle or front of your altar. Meditate on the balance of light and dark this brings, and leave your altar up at least overnight to witness the Lunar Eclipse.
PLANT ALLY: MULLEIN
Gemini rules the lungs, and Mullein is our favorite respiratory herbal ally. Mullein grows prolifically in the Pacific Northwest, and is easily identified by it's large soft leaves and tall stalks with bright yellow flowers. Mullein leaves and flowers are cooling, bitter, and astringent. Mullein
can relieve congestion and dry cough, while acting as a mild lung sedative. Mullein is most effective as a tea, tincture, or used in a smoking blend.

GEMINI RITUAL OIL
Creating a ritual oil is a way to incorporate pleasure and magic into your daily routine. This oil can be used to anoint candles, to call in Gemini energy to your Altars; it can be used to anoint your body before meditations; or even used as a massage oil to relieve achy
muscles and take some time for dedicated self care.
To make this oil you will need:
A small container - glass is best, lavender essential oil, bergamot essential oil, and a carrier oil (jojoba or coconut oils are lovely here.)
To make the oil, first fill your container with your carrier oil. Then, add in 5 drops of lavender essential oil, and 3 drops of bergamot essential oil. Cap your container, and shake well to use! You can add your finished oil to your altar to help continue to infuse it with Gemini energy.
