September 17th, New Moon in Virgo
Here we are, landing at the mid-month point and in the time of the dark sky. Our hope is that you've been able to look back on the phases since the Full Moon of September 1st and notice a difference. That vulnerable work of self-inquiry is either paying off, or
showing signs of underuse. How is this manifesting in your body? Do you feel the flow, or hear the creaks? Vigilance and attention to detail are themes for this earthy New Moon. If you have been charting a strong course towards intentional self-care, listening to your body and heart alike, and attuning deeper into your ethics and wishes, now will be a time of well earned rest. If you're feeling lost in effort, a sense of being stuck, or as if a fog has been laid around
your clarity of desires, this is a great time to simply check in with yourself and find out what you're not doing and why. Begin with the body. This Super New Moon means a likelihood of extra sensitivity.
Now is not the time to dwell on mistakes, but to forgive ourselves and learn from them. Earthy Virgo reflects attributes of our physical selves, particularly senses through the skin and back. If you've been feeling stiff or sore, offer yourself a soak, a little self massage, a slow stretch - or all three. Our rigidity is often indicative of a deeper wound. Spend some intentional time tending to your needs, and reminding the light within you that it
has purpose and tremendous value. Make a list of things you love about yourself. Don't skimp. Then make a list of things you'd like to see change. Tip your hat to old habits that no longer serve you, knowing they manifested as tools of self-preservation but that you've now outgrown. Once these lists are complete, fold them up and either burn them or shred them. As you do, say thank you to both. As the dark sky begins to fill once again with the light of the waxing moon, our sense of self
will grow and glow with it. This is an exercise in deepening your relationship with yourself, cultivating honesty, and growing into the well-rounded existence you deserve.

VIRGO EARTH MEDITATION
As an earth sign, Virgo grounds us into the here and now. The seasons are gently starting to shift - mornings and evenings begin to chill, the summer flowers are giving us their final hurrah, and the moon shines a little brighter as the nights grow longer.
Use this New Moon moment to really ground yourself, and turn your attention to the present moment. Take some time outside - maybe a walk, or lying on a blanket in your yard or at a park. Begin with deep grounding breaths, and bring your attention to the world around you. Notice the wind and sun on your skin, the ground under your feet. Notice that new leaf unfurling, or a bee buzzing by. As you enter a meditative state, if any thoughts or
feelings come up, take a moment to recognize them, thank them, and return your attention to the present moment. Even when the world is chaotic or stressful, use this moment to find a sense of peace. This meditation is a spell of gratitude for the Earth.
Remind yourself that in moments of stress, you can always find time to ground - even if it's just a few minutes outside or a walk around the block. When you return inside, take a moment to journal about any thoughts or feelings that came up for you during this practice.
CLEAR QUARTZ GEM ALLY
Like organized and driven Virgo, Clear Quartz can enhance and focus any situation. Holding the rainbow spectrum of color magic, this gem enhances the gems around it, and provides holistic clearing. A great gem ally for beginners, Clear Quartz is easily programable with your intention.
To program a gem, simply set it upon your altar, hold in your hand, or add to a gem grid. Then, meditate with the gem focusing on your intention. When your meditation is done, the gem has absorbed your energy and now acts as a talisman. Carry the gem with you, and
use it as a touch stone, or leave the gem on an altar for further meditation and guidance, this is especially easy with a spelled necklace!

VIRGO MOON MILK
Invite softness and self love into your night time routine during this Virgo New Moon. Moon Milk is a delicious warm beverage that you can infuse with herbs and spices to envelop your spirit in a cozy energy and enhance your bedtime ritual.
For this recipe, you will need:
1 cup plant based milk of your choice (coconut would be especially delicious here!)
dried lavender buds and dried or fresh rose petal (1-2 tablespoons each)
honey (or sweetener of choice)
and a cup or mug.
In a saucepan, bring the milk and botanicals to a low simmer. Simmer for 5-10 minutes. The longer you simmer the more floral flavor you will infuse into your beverage. Rose invites in self love, and self protection. Lavender welcomes softness, protection, and cleansing energy. After simmering, turn off the heat, strain your botanicals out, and stir in as much honey as you desire. Pour into a mug and enjoy!
