Full Moon in Aquarius August 3rd,
2020
This Augusts full moon goes by several names, such as the Green Corn Moon, telling of this sunny season of corn stalks beginning to reach higher to the sky; still not ready for the autumn harvest but slowly, patiently and joyfully growing towards it.
The Sturgeon Moon is another of its most known titles, named for the large fish that once fed many during this time of year. The typical lifespan of a sturgeon is 55 years - some aging well past 100. If this sacred swimmer has anything to tell us, it's message reflects that of Corn - to go slow to grow.
With this Full Moon, we are gifted with the opportunity to cool off, starting a whole new week and month with Aquarian contemplation. Feel the ripples and waves of solar energies begin to calm as the sun wanes into the night sky, leaning into a moment of sincere gratitude for the sacred fires which granted us another day of life starting with the energy it freely provides. How can we cultivate this fearlessly abundant
generosity in our own lives - towards ourselves, and to others too? Like the Moon waxed in its fullness, we rise and shine for this opportunity to elevate in our glow and gently reflect back, cool off, and diffuse the principles of the suns light. This could mean a sudden spike in sensitivity, awareness, cunning, and sharpness - all deeply valuable attributes, both in our practical moments as well as put to magical use. They can however throw us
out of whack when left unchecked. Listen to this moon as its light grows denser in the sky, reflected within your own core. The most resounding request is to begin this month slowly, stepping into our gratitude for what is.
Here is a simple magical practice you can try at home to honor the time of this Full Moon:
To find deep intention with this moon, practice some simple divinatory magic with one of our most available, original and simple tools: breath. Aquarius is governed by the element of air, making conscious breathing a marvelous magical practice to now embody. Sit or stand comfortably. This could be done outdoors as the moon begins to rise, or inside in the comfort of your living space. Breathe
into your lower belly, envisioning the fullness of the moon growing brighter with each inhalation. Imagine with each breath you are dragging a large net over a crystalline lake which you look out towards. It collects debris and clutter, leaving behind clear and calm water. One side of the lake reflects the sun, and on the other is the moon. During each breath in, count to four. Hold for four seconds. Release to the count of four. Hold for four seconds. As you breathe, imagine the
net dragging back and forth. This is a circular breathing practice, and creates open space internally for new revelations to drop in. Perhaps keep a notebook nearby so that you can write down your insights as they gently drop in, like a feather on the surface of your lake.
If you'd like to increase your respiratory flow, you may apply a roll-on or salve of eucalyptus or tea tree onto the chest, use an oil like Breathe easy, or boil water over a stove adding herbs such as rosemary and thyme. Breathe deeply and enjoy the support of these breath-supporting herbs and aromas.

MORNING PAGES + AQUARIUS
Creating a morning ritual is a deeply nourishing practice, that can help ground you and bring you home to your body at the start of each day. Morning rituals can be as elaborate or as simple as you'd like them to be - it's your morning and your magic! On this Aquarius full moon, consider adding time to write some morning pages in your journal that connect you with the intuitive, airy, and revolutionary energy of Aquarius.
Aquarius Journal Prompts:
Where does your intuition live in your body?
What can I do to value my insights + honor my intuition?
What can I do today to tend to my self + my intuition?
ROSEMARY PLANT ALLY
A Full Moon is the perfect time to cast spells for abundance, gratitude, and divination. Rosemary is a circulatory and energizing herb, a perfect addition to invigorate any spells during this time. Rosemary is native to the Mediterranean, and has been used for it's medicinal, protective, and clearing properties for centuries. Adding this herb to a Full Moon bath will leave you feeling energized and clear. Or, try adding dried rosemary to any kitchen-witch
spell to encourage protection and clearing. Dried rosemary can also be burned for a smoke clearing, and is a great alternative to First Nations White Sage.

GRATITUDE SPELL: LETTER WRITING
Social Leo energy meets creative Aquarius energy during this full moon. Harness these energies together to share some of your light with the world and your community. For this spell, you will need a piece of blank paper, art supplies of your choosing, an envelope, and maybe a stamp.
First, we are going to sink into the creative Aquarius energy. Get into a comfy spot, close your eyes, and take a few deep centering breaths. As you come to a place of calm, envision a rainbow of colored light pooling at your heart center. Let the colors glide around your chest, around your arms, down your legs - until you are totally covered in colorful light. Let the rainbow of lights remind you of all the color and brightness that surrounds
you always, let it inspire you, let it shine through you. End your color meditation by allowing the colors to gently flow towards the earth, sinking into the ground, and nurturing the surrounding nature.
Take your blank paper, and go wild! Scribble, color, shade - it doesn't have to have form or meaning - just draw whatever feels good for you. Let loose! Be inspired by all the color around you. When you are done coloring, flip your paper over to the blank side. Take a few more deep centering breaths, maybe drink some water. Think of someone in your life who brings extra brightness or color to your day. Write them a letter thanking them for the light they shine,
let them know they are seen and appreciated! When your are done, sign your letter and pop it in the mail or deliver it to your person. Sharing gratitude is a spell, your light encourages theirs!

From our latest post; SKIN CARE AS SELF CARE
...It’s a moment of self devotion, tending to your largest organ (your skin!) It’s a way to start a busy day with a fresh face and fresh mindset, and to wash the day away and begin relaxing your body for bed at the end of the day.
Our skin also protects us energetically - as our largest organ it’s how we interact with the world. Our skin can also act as an energetic shield, and because it absorbs so much of what we come in contact with, attending to the physical barrier helps support our energetic boundaries. Taking care of our skin can be considered magical hygiene....
