Full Moon Lunar Eclipse June
5th in Sagittarius
What gives you a sense of safety and groundedness? Tonights full moon in Sagittarius asks us to find out and apply what we discover. It may be a bit of a bumpy ride, reinforcing our need to establish self-security. To look into the dark and dusty corners and give them the
attention they deserve is perhaps challenging, but an absolute act of self-care. Feeling shaken or vulnerable? Lean into those you love and trust, as well as your own intuition. You have a wellspring of power within you! Draw from your own source of being, and feel your roots unfurl under the brightness of this moon. This is peak season for your inner compass. Trust the direction it points you, and trust the torch lit by the fires of this Sagittarian phase. It may cast light on past
moments, memories, and traumas that need to be seen in order to heal. Ground, breathe, and step into your wholeness. Then step into the fight for Black lives with everything you've got.
As the moon illuminates the energy of Sagittarius, we may be asked to unleash our emotional surplus. Laugh loud, cry hard, lean into your emotions and rest, rest, rest. The work will begin to do itself as long as room is given for it. There will likely be a storm to weather during this full moon - easier to navigate if you are expecting it - followed by a clear sky of the mind. This time radiates optimistic energy, but first requires the will to
clear the pathway and pass through this sacred gate. Use this potent time to lean into your truths, learn, re-examine your values, and take action. Here is a resource with
lots of ways to learn, and be an accomplice at this important time. Don't forget to self-care, we're in this for the long haul.
We at Seagrape are here to stand against racism and police brutality. We will continue to take the lead of black folx during this time to see how we can show up. Currently we are funelling our resources into creating care packages for black folx, BIPOC and protestors and will continue to take donations for these kits. Please email me for more information about getting involved. We are also donating funds to some of the following
organizations: directly to black people, Black Lives Matters (Portland Chapter), Black Visions Collective and varies Bail Out Funds across the country. We are always learning and growing. Let's do so as a community!

Ritual Bath: Celebrating pleasure
Baths are where I thrive. I do office work, budget, have dates, and do rituals in the soothing waters of my 1920’s bath tub. If baths aren’t your jam work the following ritual whatever way brings you the most joy. Treat this ritual like you’re putting it together for the greatest love of your life, the best date you’ve ever had. If you don’t have a tub or don’t do
baths, set this ritual up as a Pleasure Altar, including all the same elements as offerings.
Purify and ground before doing this work to get really clear about calling in pleasure. Put on sexy music, dim the lights, pour yourself your favorite beverage, dance naked in your living room to get ready.
SUPPLIES
- A cup of salt
- Flowers- gathered, bought, or dry (don’t forget to leave an offering if picking your own)
- Milk- coconut, goat, buttermilk or whatever you have (liquid or dry will do)
- A photo of yourself or a mirror
- A purple candle
- Honey
- Oil- a body oil you love or any essential oils you find intoxicating
Place your cup of salt in a bowl and add any beloved essential oils you have on hand. A few drops of bergamot or rose are ideal if you have them. Feel free to omit the essential oils and instead add a splash of your favorite body oil to the salt. Add 1-3 tablespoons of milk and honey to the bowl and mix all the ingredients thoroughly.
Take the mixture and hold it in front of you and speak to the following: What brings you pleasure? What do you desire? What gets you excited and lit up? Send a prayer, a song, a poem, a whisper into your bath mixture about your desire. Call in the kind of loving care you’re ready for right now. Demand what you deserve. This is your birthright.
Fill the tub with warm water and add your mixture in. Set up a bath-side altar with the mirror/ photograph and purple candle surrounded by the flowers you’ve picked or purchased. Add some flowers directly to your bath water if you’re called to do so. Light the candle and climb in. Once you’re settled, gaze at your face in the mirror or at the photograph. Speak the
3 things you’re proud of to your reflection. Tell yourself what you desire. Hold gratitude in your heart for your truth and bravery as you look at your face.
Feel the water soothe your hard edges, turn you soft and sweet. Feel the blessings of this small act of self-care radiate out with your gratitude. A full moon in Sagittarius favors illuminating truth and standing in your integrity. We are wired for continuous creation and re-creation. This means anything is possible, and it starts with naming your desire. Take a
moment to journal anything that’s coming up for you.
THE MAGIC OF SUNFLOWERS: LIFT YOUR SPIRITS
Shine your light! This beautiful magical summer ally beckons you towards your own radiance, shining forth from the inside out. Sunflowers remind us that though we all share a common experience of life, we are still individuals with our own unique form when we're given the attention we deserve. The sun is often called on magically to transform negative energy. Ever the optimist, they reach for the sun, for source. When they cannot find it, or the day
offers heavy gloom, they do the next best thing - they turn to one another. Like the famous Sunflower Girl of ancient Greek mythology, gazing upwards at Apollo's fiery chariot as it flourished overhead, we too should turn to the light. When skies are grey, we must find our own source and share with others when it matters most. Sunflowers are a living example of what to do when we're under our own personal raincloud. Soak up the good stuff where we can, while relying on community
for the support we need to thrive.
Magical elements are often reflected in a plants chemical abilities too. The sunflower is one of the most popular and effective phytoremediators, planted to remove radiation, dangerous chemicals, and toxic metals from the soil (including arsenic, lead and uranium). The magic mirror of these effects are seen through its ability to transmute even the most burdensome and heavy negative self-talk into creative thought, shifting our
approach to ourselves and encouraging patience, love, and brightness.
Make a magical sun tea with the petals of the sunflower! Insight and directions below.
