New Moon in Gemini May 22,
2020
Blessed New Moon! Gemini has arrived with some timely messages for us around surrender and rebellion. Both require patience with ourselves. As a master of the brain, Gemini says SLOW DOWN, sweet one. Pay attention to how your thoughts are stimulated. What are you feeding your
mind? Do you sabotage yourself before you have the chance to truly begin? In honor of this dark moon phase, challenge yourself with something new. A recipe, a few phrases of a new language, or a craft that has been nagging at your mind. Pick up your knitting needles, shape something with clay, or write a poem - and be sure to ground into yourself. The easiest and most effective way to practice grounding is by connecting with the earth. If you have no access to green space, you do
this indoors with a plant, a leaf, or a flower. These days we are watching much of the world from our windows, often seized by screens, and encased in shoes too small for the vastness we wish to walk. Make your new moon ritual one of dedication to the earth, and to yourself. They are one and the same, after all. Find yourself an essential and non-negotiable part of where you are. This could be as small as silently thanking a tree. Spend time gardening, watering your plants, or gazing
into the darkness of the night sky. Let your eyes wander beyond the scope of technology. Just for a little while here and there, practice letting go of time.

Mirror Magic Spell: ENERGY & LOVE
Mirror Magic, long associated with spying into the soul, is one of the oldest and most relied upon methods of self-witnessing and clarifying through a magical lens. In this act of reflection, you are able to see deeper, and offer love to the being in your life that needs you the most: yourself. What would happen if you spent even a few short minutes giving yourself the attention that you deserve? Simply gazing upon your divine being is an act of love. Infusing this
act with intentional magic is a very easy and effective bonus that is well worth doing. This can be done as long-form rituals, shorter day-by-day practices, or both.
Self-love is our original magic. It is often dented, damaged, and discouraged as we experience trauma, oppression or adversity. We blame ourselves for the things that go wrong, often digging a hole into ourselves that can feel hard to escape from. In doing this, we forget to come back to our own first true source. Adding energy to love imbibes us with vibrant life, and it starts and ends with our own beings. Begin slowly with this one; it can understandably
feel jarring to stare into yourself as you recognize your power. Try first looking around the inner frame of the mirror, catching your own glance, and taking in the reflected space around you. Stay within the gateway of the mirror, and work your way into yourself. Begin taking longer and longer moments to gaze into your own eyes. Offer a smile. Smile back. See what happens if you consciously cease programmed responses and simply witness. Adore yourself as sacred art. Try viewing the person in
the mirror as another being. What do you see? Where could you use the most love? Think something kind to yourself. Then say it out loud. Say it again. Try staying here for a minimum of 3 minutes. When you are grounded, express gratitude in whatever way feels best. A simple "thank you" will do. Say it until you truly feel it received.
BLACK TOURMALINE: Protector and Keeper
The deep darkness of this sacred stone evokes the mystery of the dark May moon. Black tourmaline is one of our favorite stones for protection, grounding, and transformation. Do you have some energies that could be put to better use? Are you feeling stagnant, or overrun with anxiety? Perhaps in need of some solid grounded support? This black beauty is here to sit you down and chill you out. Long used as an earth ally, black tourmaline acts like an
umbilical chord between us and the energy of the Earth. The New Moon is a wonderful time to bask in the stillness of our home planet, and to root down further with the elements that we share. Traditionally, black tourmaline has been known as the stone of Manāt, the Arabian goddess of time, death, and the waning moon. The dark phase of the moon is the most ideal time to honor her, as well as do rituals around the endings and beginnings of cycles. Black tourmaline has been used for
generations around the world in for ritualistic work; providing protective shielding and strengthening the foundations of spellwork. If you're a member of our online community Seagrape Babes, you'll have access to a special New Moon ritual including the optional use of this stone.
If you're looking for a little internal energetic spark, look no further! Black tourmaline, known as "the electric stone," has living energetic and magnetic properties, carrying a faint but constant electric charge of 0.06mA. For science witches and earth mystics alike, this special stone provides a special energetic intrigue and much to offer.

KITCHEN WITCH MAGIC
NEW MOON WISH FLOWERS
Kitchen witchery is a beautiful way to introduce magic into everyday actions. Like bathing, cooking is one of those things we do often without much consideration. The difference between slapping together a meal and making some magic lies in the addition of a single ingredient: intention.
Life is expressing its many colors as the seasons grow warmer, and flowers beckon us to co-create some sweet seasonal magic under the new moon. Choose from pansies, violets and violas, rose petals, marigolds, or any other favorite medicinal flower. If you happen to have rosemary sprigs or fresh herbs growing, you can use the leaves of those as well for this simple ritual. Get yourself 5 flowers, flower petals, or herb leaves. During the night of
the New Moon, let them rest in the center of your altar, absorbing the absolute potential of each element that is germinated during this lunar phase. Let them stay there overnight to share in your dreamspace. Upon waking, hold some sacred space while preparing a simple cup of tea. For each flower, petal or leaf, offer an intention before dropping into the hot water. Let these steep. As you sip your tea, enjoy the sensation of taking in your own wishes and intentions, boosted by the potential
energy of each element. As the moon grows full again, check in on how these intentions manifest.

From our latest post; Abundance Tarot Spread
...Let's shake off that scarcity mindset and welcome in abundance! Health, money, creative pursuits, and purpose are the arenas in which we find prosperity, and can also feel drained of it. In most tarot decks, there is the suit of pentacles, or something resembling them, such as stones, bones, or coins. This particular suit represents our earthly connections and necessities- our surroundings, wealth, and prosperity - which is why the spread
itself reflects the symbol of this foundational symbol...
