New Moon in Taurus April 22,
2020
Hello New Taurus Moon, and hello new cycle. As the moon takes a step back from the spotlight, it invites our list of priorities to take its place. This is an opportune time to see ourselves in a freshly illuminated way, so that we may rightly reevaluate. This new moon asks us to
draw our attention towards unchecked thought patterns, energy levels, and the trickle-down of our resulting emotions and actions. This can be a time of heightened irritability if we don't give our bodies and minds the chance they need to slow down. Uncertainty can drive us to react quicker than is necessary. Take a moment to think before acting - and acting with care. The bull can kick in its sleep, disturbing others without knowing, and thrashing around from lacking on solid rest. Sit in
dedicated stillness, and remember that it is a gift to yourself to do so. What changes need to be made at this time? Taurus carries us on its back into a fresh cycle. It could be a bumpy ride, or smooth sailing. What we get will depend on what is given. Self-care is self-love.

Carnelian Gem Ally
Carnelian is a go-to for a fiery power-house gem when willpower, manifestation, creativity, and inspiration are called for. Use this stone when you need extra motivation or encouragement to get things done, or as an embodied, sexy invitation for those energies.
A gem used through the ages to signify a ruler's power, knowledge, courage, and physical stamina, this stone has been utilized for centuries to help people stand in their individual power-- perfect for an abundant Taurus New Moon!
If you're building a New Moon Altar for a specific manifestation try adding a carnelian to it in order to amplify that intention. Try meditating on your desire with this gem. What would bring you joy and excitement at this very moment? What sparks your fire and drive? How can this warm, radiant and powerful stone support you?
Chamomile Spell
During times like these, old friends can be such a sweet gift and one such friend that we have fallen in love with all over again this month is chamomile. The delicate yellow and white flowers of this lovely herbal ally are calming just to look at! Most people are familiar with chamomile tea, which is often steeped by itself or in herbal blends that are intended to be calming and aid with restful sleep, and there is a reason so many people are familiar with
this: not only is it gentle and effective, it is also one of the most ancient medicinal herbs, having been used in ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome. There are far more uses and benefits than we can begin to include here, so we encourage you to befriend and explore this ancient ally.
Of course, chamomile has long been used in magical practice, as well, known to increase inner peace and bring inner clarity around one’s spiritual purpose, according to The Spirit of Herbs, the lovely little companion tome to the Herbal Tarot. It is also used for purification and protection, as well as for attracting prosperity and good fortune.
Use the following to help tune your inner compass before meditation or sleep. Begin by boiling a pot of water. Use loose chamomile flowers if you have them available, but otherwise tea sachets or bags will do just fine. With the water a minute or so off boil, slowly pour it over the chamomile flowers as you speak the following—aloud if possible:
Ancient ally, timeless friend,
Bring your peace, protection lend,
Grant me clarity of mind,
And an open heart for the truths I find.
Sit with the tea, enjoying its gentle aroma as it steeps for five to ten minutes. Pour yourself a cup, straining off the flowers, and sip it before you meditate or as you are settling into bed for a sweet, magical night’s sleep. We like to steep a little extra to add it to a soothing bath!

Integrate Transition Tarot Spread
Today, we invite you to take time to get creative with your craft. Make yourself a cup of tea, and take a moment to center however feels right to you. It could be deep conscious breathing, watering your plants, or saying hello to the elements. Grab a journal and your favorite deck of tarot cards. Shuffle and pull a card for yourself, asking, "what am I ignoring and why?" Allow this to also be your writing prompt. Let the card you've drawn guide you in your
exploration of this question. Radical self-honesty is an act of love.
If you'd like a longer pull, try these questions:
Card 1: Where in my life am I experiencing the most transitions
Card 2: What am I ignoring right now?
Card 3: What can support me during this time?
Don't forget to be gentle with yourself, and after you have some clarity spend a few moments dreaming BIG dreams. Hey, the world is kind of a mess right now but what if this is an opportunity to dream our biggest visions into existence?! Use this abundant Taurus energy to tap into your juiciest desires, bb!

...Death and rebirth are one and the same. Aspects of our lives can change without any ability to control them, and sometimes it's heartbreaking. The exhaustion, hopelessness, and grief can ache so deeply in our bones. But within that hurt we can see another part of that same emotional colorwheel. Life is never meant to be one thing only. We are meant to experience the sweet sun of day, and the frosty mirror of the moon. How we internalize and understand these
lessons is something tremendously personal to each of us....
