Welcome to dreamy Pisces season, ushered in by this New Moon. Take some time to call in dreamy, full bellied, self-love with me today. Take the time to lean into the mystery and magic that is your life and call it to you!
There are so many roads to romancing the self. What even is romance? According to the Webster Mariam dictionary, romance is "a quality or feeling of mystery, excitement, and remoteness from everyday life." To court. To woo. To fall in love with the mystery of. Shouldn't this be a value applied to ourselves first and foremost? There is real healing in the disappearance from the superficial. As spacetime gets foggy around us, we can dissolve into our own
sensual nature, enjoy the pleasure of our company as we are, or find space to luxuriate in our perfectly imperfectly perfect selves. However we feel, whether we're experiencing joy, sorrow, anger, hilarity, or a mixture of feelings - they can be validated and supported from within. This is a time to unhinge from the draining need to find our purpose, and simply let the moment be the reason for all things that we are.
The New Moon is a time of Spellwork. Call in the things you truly desire for your life, the dreams you're too scared or shy to speak out loud. Now is the time to work this magic, taking advantage of the quiet of Winter and the intuitive nature of this Moon phase.
So, what dreams are you calling in today?

Making a Flower Essence for opening your psychic channels
Flower essences are the absolute most subtle way of talismanic guidance. They're also the most available and personal, since they are so simple and intuitive to craft and utilize. In choosing some flowers (crystals work too), you can let them bathe in purified water under the full moon, and just like that,
you've created an essence. You might even call them a natural self-faith enhancer. Imagine looking into a mirror and seeing your own face, as a flower. It sounds strange, but this is what an essence does. In effect, it does nothing other than give you your own guidance back to you, but through the intentional lens of a specific flower. You are guided by your own intuition, but without dedication to it, there will be no outcome. The floral essence asks you to make a promise to yourself, and if
you hold its hand along the path, it'll hold yours right back.
Below are instructions on how to make your own flower essence:
_____________________________________________________
MATERIALS NEEDED:
- Small glass bowl
- Small glass jar
- Mesh strainer
- Scissors
- Spring water
- Organic alcohol (such as brandy), apple cider vinegar, or vegetable glycerin
PREPARATION
- When you're collecting your flowers, you should have a few hours of consistent daylight. If making a moon essence, choose a night when the moon is full.
- Sit with the plant you wish to work with, or introduce them by setting on your altar while you read cards, cook, or clean. Ask permission to use these flowers as medicine, and tune into any messages you may receive.
COLLECTING THE FLOWERS
- Once you have determined which flower you will use, prepare your bowl. Fill the bowl with spring water, and place it near your flowers. It should be level and have direct access to sunlight.
- Using your scissors, cut each blossom close to the base, placing them flat and ideally faced up. Cover the top of the bowl with one even layer of flowers.
- You may offer an affirmation or intention to the bowl if desired, or to each flower.
- When the bowl is full, take a moment to say thank you, and ask that the essence reach its full potential for healing.
COMPLETING YOUR ESSENCE
- Allow the essence to sit in the sunlight for approximately 3-4 hours, or overnight under the full moon.
- When the essence is finished infusing, preserve it by pouring it through a mesh strainer into a clean glass jar with your alcohol, apple cider vinegar, or vegetable glycerin at a 50:50 dilution. Be sure to label your bottle.
- You now have a preserved mother essence. To make a stock essence, add 10 drops of the mother essence to a 60 mL bottle filled with 50:50 spring water and alcohol, vinegar, or glycerin.
Mugwort: Dream Plant Ally
Mugwort is a favorite plant ally for opening up the intuitive channels, dreaming more vividly, and connecting to our intuition. If you haven't met this plant yet you're in for a treat, and if you know- well, you know.
Traditionally Mugwort was used in ritual fires for divination and cleansing, and can be burned for a similar smoke clearing of the home or body (try it as an herbal smoke for a super dreamy experience!). You may also sleep with a pouch of mugwort or a sprig hung by the bed to enhance
your dreams and visions. Drinking mugwort tea will have a similar effect and can be used during divinatory practices to enhance intuition.

New Moon Dream Bath
New Moon baths are a gentle invitation for your manifesting spell. The water (especially during a Pisces moon) amplifies and holds the spell's intention. Imagine soaking in a cocoon of your manifestation, being held by it through the bath water.
This is a very simple spell. Feel free to add more to your bath ( the Mugwort oil or essence, or even your favorite bath soak to soften the water).
MATERIALS NEEDED:
- any flowers that may be blooming around your neighborhood (or dry roses)
- a handful of salt
- a lilac candle
- a written out intention of the dream/s you're calling in right now
PREPARATION
- draw your bath adding the salt for purification, once the bath is full float your flowers in the water as an invitation of growth.
- hold your candle in both hands while visioning your intention. when finished send your breath and your will into the candle by breathing into it. arrange your candle on the side of the tub with the written intention under or behind it.
- climb into the tub and hold gratitude for the elements supporting you (salt -earth, candle- fire, bath- water, your breath- air)
- light the candle and let the softness of the water surround you while you visualize your dreams and intentions.
- when you are finished with your bath scoop the plant out (leave as an offering outside) and release your vision from your body. trust that the desires you've called in were heard!

From our latest post; Cultivating intuition through tea leaf readings
The art of reading tea leaves is a method of divination that looks for symbols and patterns in loose tea leaves. The reader can then use these symbols to gain a better picture of what’s going on in their life, get advice for a particular problem, or learn about events that will happen in the future....
