It takes as much energy to say “I don't have time” as it does to try something new. We don’t have the muscle memory yet, don’t have the confidence, the repetition hasn’t settled in our bones. But what if instead of deflating and giving up on your pleasure you say to yourself: “I got this, I'm trying it!” Imagine what possibility the invitation might open up. Inviting Magic in is about curiosity and play. Allowing yourself not to know, not to have
expectations, and finding creative ways to welcome the energy in. Do this through your morning shower (soap your body up with PLEASURE energy), while making dinner (whisper a welcome of GRATITUDE to your ingredients), and even while sweeping the floor (asking the broom to clear all that no longer serves you out of the house).
Inviting Magic in is a daily practice, and anything can be infused with Magic if there is attention and intention behind it. Remember that we are in relationship to everything, and we have to tend the flame if we want to continue to be in relationship, so find ways to invite Magic into your life daily.
15 minute journal prompts:
-
Write about 5 tasks you do daily (shower, clean, eat, etc.), and what their Magical qualities might be.
-
What are some other practical ways to infuse your day with magic?
Day 5 Magical Morning Practice: Spell your food!
Pull a tarot card you like from your deck. Don’t have one? Grab your favorite household item (book, nicknack, artwork). Set it on the table as you prepare breakfast (if you have the time, arrange a little Altar just like you did for day 4). Make sure to plate your food beautifully when you are done preparing your meal. Decorate the plate with dry herbs, fresh fruit, make whimsical faces. Invite the energy of the card/ item you chose to settle in
and infuse your breakfast. Perhaps the item makes you feel joy, you are then inviting JOY into your meal. This, my friends is magic.
Extra credit: spell your ritual adornment items- easing, lipstick, perfume.
Hold the item in your hands, close your eyes and feel your magic running through you- from the soles of your feet, reaching down into the Earth's core, all the way to your crown, reaching to the stars above. Whisper your spell into the object. I like to spell my perfume by saying "I infuse this perfume with the energy of Pleasure and Embodiment, and welcome these energies to be with me throughout the day." MAGIC.
Takeaway:
Inviting Magic in is a daily practice, and anything can be infused with Magic if there is attention and intention behind it. The tasks you perform daily can be turned into intentional acts, full of beauty and wonder. Remembering to slow down enough, or making your daily mundane tasks (like brushing your teeth or putting on lipstick) full of magic creates an invitation for a daily practice.
