Emotional, hormonal, menstrual - we all have cycles. You know who else does? That's right - the moon. And her soft glow lights our way to the much needed liberation of our sacred rhythms. Imagine it: a swirling cavern of color and luminosity, humming and radiating from our southern hemispheres, mirrored in the night sky in throughout her many phases. How are we expected to show up as the perfectly imperfectly perfect powerhouses that we are without showing up for
this center of passion and willpower? Will you let this potent energy in?
On January 19th join us for HONORING THE MOON CYCLE. This workshop gracefully and intentionally explores the beauty, sensitivity and power of our bodies in their complete nature. Have you ever gotten a massage and felt a sudden jolt of anxiety at the smallest touch of the stomach? This is a response to the internalization of disconnection. There is so much shame, both cultural and ancestral, associated with cyclical emotions; feeling our feelings, honoring the
fluctuations of our sacred selves, and the need to bleed. The lower belly is sometimes called the Cradle of Fear. It's also called the Cradle of Life. This is the part of our physical bodies that grounds us, sends our roots into the soil and connects us to this earth. Thanks to capitalism and the patriarchal system we live within, most of us are disconnected from the chest down. We are made to function from the head, and ignore our gut. In order to heal society and our individual selves from the
inside out, we can truly no longer ignore what we are- living a half life, surviving as a fraction of our wondrous fullness. Stepping up to our fears of acknowledgement is to turn and face our potential, acknowledge our trauma with open heartedness, and to practice self-love in a safe and guided space to the extent with which we are comfortable and ready for.
Join us on Sunday January 19th for HONORING THE MOON CYCLE, and start the new year off with strong self-acknowledgement.
