Full Moon September 13 in Pisces
Happy Harvest Moon and Friday the 13th! Wondering why it's a harvest moon? Traditionally, it's the full moon closest to the fall equinox. On the transition from summer to fall, we are rebalancing between between day and night. Approaching the equinox,
the days are growing shorter, the nights longer - a clue to the pace of life we are living. Giving more time and space to restorative practices, gentle activities, and slowing down to be more open to what life has to give and less reactive in each moment.
The energies of the Pisces moon and Virgo sun, or the elements of water and earth, are present. Let yourself remain "idle" for this is the time when you might get bored and dream big. Utilizing the earth energy to root and ground your big dreams will help you to actualize them. As we are finding balance in the new durations of day and night, we are exploring our inward balances between receptivity and doing.
During this seasonal transition, lets call in the energy of radical self love and compassion. Giving our minds and brains a rest, as they are always working so hard and much is demanded of them, for us to show up always "on." The lessons of this moon are to release some of the ideas around control, meticulous planning of our day-to-day and to make space for and allow more of the ebb and flow of life to naturally guide us during this phase.

Pisces Full Moon Tarot Spread
- What can I learn to let go of in order to become my best self? What beliefs can I surrender to a higher power?
- How can I deepen my connection to and listen to my unconscious?
- What is a barrier between me and hearing my unconscious?
- What outcome will my surrender lead me to?
Pisces is a sign of compassion, healing, release. Pisces are highly intuitive. We'll pull out The Moon card from our deck and use as a guide in this reading. This full moon's tarot spread focuses on strengthen your connection to your intuition, often what The Moon card is trying to communicate to us. An act of slowing down and listening and understanding; you might discover there are other barriers to your higher self and listening inwards, which
is what card 3 addresses. Often, we wish to control whatever we can in and around us. One of the lessons of this moon and sign are to release that control. In letting go, more gifts and opportunities will flow into our life, just as this water sign moves within its natural environment, never holding on too long to one place or moment.
Copper
Copper is traditionally associated with Venus, the Roman goddess of love and beauty. For a Pisces full moon, it can be used for healing and balancing outgoing and incoming energies. Additionally, copper is a great revitalizer, refreshing and rejuvenating purpose and spirit.
Often used in attracting money spells, copper is also a conductor of both heat and magical energies. Magically, copper enhances energies of harmony, abundance, and attraction of positive energy, especially when used in the home. Let copper aid you in radical compassion and self love, arts, friendship, peace, and harmony.

Extra Love for Your Altar
Write what you are releasing on one piece of paper and your intention/affirmation/mantra on another. Taking what you plan to release, you might tear it up, burn it, bury it in the backyard, etc. Place the Moon card on your altar, as a reminder to listen within and any other lessons gleaned from your deck this moon cycle. Other ways you might add some extra attention and energy to your altar are to spritz with a cleansing room spray, like rose water, cleanse with smoke of rosemary, or run your
crystals through running water to charge with the energy of Pisces before setting crystals out to enjoy this full moon.
