At the Aquarius new moon, your imagination lives and breathes. Visionary, introspective Aquarius is the dream-keeper of the zodiac; of
all the signs, Aquarius knows the dream world and the unconscious mind best. If you feel your inner voice has gotten lost in the shuffle of the new year, this dark moon is the ideal time to ground, turn inward, and connect. Aquarius is a willing guide—all you need to do is reach out a
hand.
In the tarot, Aquarius is associated with the Star. Like the Star, Aquarius is a
renewing, purifying, and incredibly intuitive force. If your intuition feels murky at this time, call on the water-bearer to open the pathway back to self. Consider the self-care practices you have in place already—how can you use the tools available to you to call your truth
back? How can you re-align yourself with your vision, and what are you willing to get vulnerable about in order to do so? This new moon is all about nakedness—emotional, spiritual, and magical.
Stripped to your core, what values do you want to embody? What do you feel is
getting in the way of attunement right at this very moment?
Because this lunation is a solar eclipse, you may experience a growth edge. Issues that have been simmering may bubble over, bringing to the surface something that requires your attention. The sun is aligned with the moon during this eclipse, and in this space is everything you need to clear that stagnant energy that's hindering you.
If your wildest dreams and visions have been
gathering dust this past month, now is the time to take them down from their display shelf and shine them up. Spend some time sitting with your intuition, and listen to the guidance you find there—it's never too late to step onto
a path that feels more aligned with your purpose. Don't allow stagnancy to convince you otherwise, babe. Aquarius weaves a delicate balance between intuition and logic. Walk the fine line between the two this month, and every so often, reach for the stars.
Self-message is a way we can commune with ourselves. It can be a ritual of devotion, of honoring, of connection. A ritual of gratitude and fullness; an act of love. As with many rituals, self massage is guided by intuition.
Begin by sitting or lying comfortably where you feel the ground supporting your weight and you can allow yourself to be cradled by the earth. Use a blanket or pillow to support your seat or neck so you can relax into yourself. Using a small portion of massage oil, warm it between your hands, or between one hand and another portion of your body like your thigh or base of your neck.
Take some cleansing breaths and place your hands upon your
chest, feeling the rise and fall of each breath. Move your hands along your skin, pausing to notice the bumps, scars, smoothness, and ridges. Notice the sensation of your touch and gently pressing in places that allow you to feel connected to that area of your body. Try different pressures, motions, and directions, to find what feels like a motion of thanks.
Speak your own words of devotion to your body, whispering gratitude, sounding out kindness to your limbs. End the ritual with an intentional spray
to set the moon for the rest of your day or evening.
