It is with great joy, awe, and pleasure that we get to look towards an 11th birthday celebration here at Seagrape. It’s been a rollercoaster full of joyful
community tending, alongside heartbreaking news and events. We’ve sat with folks that were grieving and shut down the shop to join in national actions, while also intentionally making space for, and celebrating, joy as often as possible. All in all, reaching 11 years in Portland is a huge milestone that we are wildly grateful to share with you babes!
It’s impossible to capture all the emotions behind the scenes. We grieve, we rage, we work our magic towards hope for the future. If there's one thing we've learned in 11 years of operating a brick and mortar, it's that hope is messy. It doesn't always have a clear outcome, or something tangible to hold onto, but if you have a reason for doing it.. hope makes all the difference.
We do it because of you, babe. Because this magic and this community is something worth tending to, something that deserves our heartfelt collaboration. Every time we get discouraged or it feels heavy, we turn to our community. 11 is a number of heightened connection and intuition, and wow does that feel celebratory and tuned in as heck this year!
From our beloved PNW locals to the babes joining us from across the country, Seagrape exists because of you. We are so, so thankful for you, near and far. Seagrape has grown, transformed, and flourished because of this vibrant community of witches, babes, and dreamers, and now it’s time to revel in all that we’ve built together. As we start another cycle of weaving community magic, we are more
excited than ever to show the heck up for you— our amazing community of artists, queers, activists, dreamers, gender-full witches, and sparkly humans.
So join us for a weekend filled with birthday festivities, for a glimmer of hope woven into community celebration. We'll have divination, delicious snacks, aura photos, flash tattoos, and more
surprises and treats. Wherever you are and however you can celebrate with us, every time you see 11:11 this weekend close your eyes and MAKE A WISH! Hope is messy, and messes make the best memories! Let's start off the magic of this next year together with boisterous laughter, embodied magic, and joyfully messy memories.
