On 12/20, the Winter Solstice we
celebrate the shortest day, longest night. In the darkness of winter we examine the shadows, stoking and tending the little bursts of flames that appear throughout to cheer us on. This is an opportunity to curl inward and reflect. Collaborate with fire- a candle, a fireplace, a soft lamp if you’d prefer no flame. As you sit in soft reflective space, consider what's made itself known to you in these darker months.
What hopes popped up for the future? Give yourself space to dream, to yearn and aspire. Gaze at the light and know that longer days are coming, and with them space for your dreams to be illuminated.
This is also an opportunity to celebrate. What themes demand to be
exuberantly celebrated while the flame dances?
We are reflecting and celebrating by collecting gift donations for Palestinian families in Portland. If you're a local maker and want to drop off art, tea, love notes, art, tinctures, zines, herbal medicine, etc. please bring it by the shop 12/20 11-5pm! Solstice
is the perfect time to dream into what is possible in the world, so dream into some softness and a sweeter world with us ❄️
