We're always searching for ways to deepen our relationship with the cards, from building a daily tarot practice to working with a tarot journal. There are so many different ways to work with the tarot, but none so intimate, empowering, and transformative as crafting your very own tarot deck. This August, author and deck creator Charlie Claire Burgess (Fifth Spirit Tarot, The Gay Marseille) is joining us for a month-long series exploring how to create a powerful, functional tarot deck from scratch: Making Your Own Unique Tarot! 

In a four-week community container, you’ll learn about the moving parts that make the existing tarot system work, such as archetype and symbolism. You’ll begin distilling your own archetypes and interpretations, finding your own symbols, and developing your own unique iconography. In between classes, you’ll dive head-first into creating new cards each week, with the goal of having a meaningful start on a tarot deck by the end of the series, along with the knowledge needed to follow it through to revision and production.

From inspiration to production, this series will provide everything you need to create your very own tarot deck — plus, you'll be introduced to a magical community of folks working on creating their very own tarot decks!
