Water is an excellent medium for envisioning and sketching out boundaries. We love a good ritual bath in times of overwhelm or emotional mismanagement! Water holds us — even when we feel pieces of us may be floating away — and aids us in connecting back to our path. Remember that water carves its own path! We invite you to do the same with this simple, no-fuss bath ritual.
You will need:
- A bathtub (Though you can also do this ritual in your daily showers!)
- Water
- Your intention
- That's it!
In your bathing space, be it shower or tub, bring your attention to your naked form. Notice the water sitting atop your skin in perfect droplets, covering but not quite permeating your skin. If you're in the bath, spend some time ruminating on the feel of the water as it surrounds you, as it holds you. There's so much gentleness in this
caress, babes! Water is tender, but it's also steadfast. Bask in its protection as long as you need, and whenever the overwhelm begins to creep in, try and remember the sensation of the water on your skin, of your body distilled within it.
