Ritual baths are such a glorious way to devote some magic-filled time to your body. Infusing your bath water with flowers you feel
personally drawn to can add a huge kick to a self-love spell, but they’re extremely powerful on their own!
For this ritual, you will need:
Two handfuls of petals or blossoms from a flower of your choosing. Any flower you have blooming in your garden or in your neighborhood that’s nontoxic will work for this ritual, such as:
- rose - self love, compassion, boundaries
- chamomile - love, healing
- borage - courage, strength, insight
- jasmine - love, sweetness, abundance
- passionflower- friendship, rest, connection
- marigold - ancestors, connection to Spirit, tradition
- poppies - intuition, rest, ancestral support
- sunflowers - boldness, authenticity, abundance
While you're drawing your bath, envision that your own energy matches the color and softness of the flowers you've chosen—really allow your energy to rise and spread out for this bath! You can even imagine yourself as a flower, and the water as much-needed nourishment. Languish in this bath as long as you need, and when you’re done, save the flower petals!
You can lay them out to dry between a couple pieces of paper towel, and later you can press them inside a journal or spell book. You can also set them outside as an offering back to the land and the Spirits that surround your home. If you'd like to give back to your garden, take a pitcher of your bathwater and water your plants and houseplants with it, composting the ritual bath so that new things may grow from your magic.
