It's hard for me to believe it's been seven whole years since I landed in Portland, OR. My initial move here was due to a partner's job relocation, and since Seagrape had
been a strictly digital business since 2009, I was able to come along for the adventure. Little did I know, this move was going to change my life!Â
Â
When I found the location Seagrape currently calls home, it was meant to be my studio (setting some home boundaries, as I had the habit of working until 3am at home). Neighbors were immediately drawn into the shop by the heavenly scent of herbs and potions brewing, and quite literally bought things as I made them. I remember, the now
regular, walking out of the shop with several unlabeled bottles of body oil because I hadn't yet unpacked all of my supplies. WHAT A GIFT, I thought, and Seagrape as we know it now was born!Â
Â
Over the years I have developed recipes, changed my mind, discontinued products whose ingredients became scarce, hired employees for the first time, stretched outside of my comfort zone, learned and re-learned what my values were, formed deep connections with community, and so much more.Â
Â
Today, as I plant Ancestral Marigold seeds in my sweet little garden, sun on my face, a bath waiting just inside, I plant gratitude and an overwhelming feeling of excitement at what is next to come. I beam at being able to ground in pleasure, and share my magic of turning self-care into a love affair through my lived experience with community near and
far.
Â
What a gift YOU are, babe. Whether you've been with me for the last 13 years of the many forms Seagrape has taken, or are just joining in now- YOU are the reason I do this magical pleasure work, and I am so grateful you're here!
Thank you for celebrating with me.Â
