Ah, the holidays. 

Every year around this time I think back to 2009, when I started Seagrape in my one bedroom studio apartment while in art school. Have you ever made cold process soap on a linoleum floor? I wouldn't recommend it, but also, I kind of would. 

The last 12 years of running this small business have been a dream. When deciding how to be scrappy next (art school saw me through jewelry making, book binding, printmaking, mural painting, and leather work!) I couldn't have known that focusing this creation on PLEASURE would help me grow into the human I am today. Over the dozen years of googling my way to where I am I've been able to support hundreds of other small businesses, both as a customer, friend, and retail partner. Buying from a real human is JOYFUL y'all.

I know the last two years have been strange and hard. I know we're all exhausted, but also, I know that we've all got each other's backs. This has been the clearest message through the pandemic, and I want to say: I see you, I see your care, I see your love. 

Thank you for loving on small business this holiday season, and thank you for allowing Seagrape to be a little part of your magical life, It means the world to me that this seedling has bloomed in your life!
